Why choose film photography?

There is a timeless beauty & unique aesthetic that analog photography offers. Shooting on film inspires a more present rhythm to capture with precision. It offers a feel of nostalgia & really good looking photographs.

What materials do you use?

We use Kodak 35mm film in a Canon film camera with a range of lenses & 120mm Kodak medium format film on a Mamiya 7.

What does that mean?

35mm film often celebrates unique colour tones, grain & the flexibility to capture signifiant moments on the fly with the use of flash or ambient lighting.

120 film has a larger negative that can provide uniquely sharp & defined details in portraits yet lends itself to a slower, less animated process.

Together, these two mediums are a match made in analog heaven.

Will we notice a difference if you shoot film on our wedding day?

You won’t necessarily notice a difference on your special day as our processes are unfolding; you’ll hear clicking & sometimes a flash will fire.

The magic is in the results as film provides a uniquely romantic & nostalgic factor that sets it apart from digital imagery.

This one is for the vintage loving babes. When you know, you know.

How will we receive these images?

Once the film rolls are shot, processed & scanned, they will be lightly edited & delivered to you as a link via Dropbox to download.

Yes it is that simple! You get the vintage feel of film in an ultra digital world, sent to you as high resolution JPG digital files for you to cherish for life.

Does it take longer to receive film images?

Believe it or not, because film photos require such little post production & less clicks of the shutter compared to digital, it is a faster turn around time for us to get these timeless babies delivered your way.
